Common.

Common is our woollen ‘gift one’ blanket, gifted to a child through community organisations in Aotearoa with every purchase of a Kind blanket. Common is designed to share joy and warmth in the form of soft, cosy blankets in bright, striking colours.

The Common and Kind blankets aren’t always like for like - we’ve designed our blankets in different shapes and sizes depending on the age and stage of children to meet the needs of families.

Through wonderful New Zealand manufacturers, we have access to quality, NZ-made factory remnant fabrics that are better used to keep children warm than sitting in the back of a warehouse. We choose the funnest fabrics, fluffy them up and finish the edges with bright, contrasting stitching ready to be cuddled and loved.

Wool is naturally breathable, odour resistant and hypo-allergenic - making it a wonder-fibre for keeping babies and kids warm.

To make sure our gifted blankets are practical, Common blankets can be washed on a short, delicate setting on the washing machine on cold or if the user is inclined, by hand in a tub or bath. Luckily, due to the anti-bacterial nature of wool, Common blankets will only need to be washed sparingly - airing them outdoors in the sun for a day can suffice between washes unless soiled.
